IPhone battery aging but full Max Capacity

I remember that the message under Peak Performance Capability usually says that it’s in normal peak performance. Upon further research, according to Business Insider, this means that the battery is starting to age. Why is my maximum capacity 98% but the battery is supposedly starting to degrade?

Your iPhone's measurement of the battery indicates the battery has 98% of its original design capacity. That is pretty much perfect, the battery has not degraded significantly in its life so far. Don't worry about it unless there are other problems like the battery discharges faster than expected, or does not hold charge when the iPhone is left switched off.
