Keep getting "Recovery Contact Needed" message on iPhone post iOS update

I searched for this problem and was surprised it hadn't been asked. Since I have updated to iOS 17 I keep getting the "Recovery Contact Needed" message even though I have had 2 for quite a while.

This happens on my Macs (Desktop and laptop) my iPads and my iPhone. While it doesn't affect anything performance wide it is extremely annoying. I've tried "Resetting All Settings", signing out of iCloud and signing back in. The signing out and in seems to work for about 24 hours and then it pops back.

I'm kind of tired of seeing that red 1 on my home screen "Settings" and when I open Settings. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi! I continually get the "Review Your Recovery Contact" notification on my Mac in the upper right of my screen. I've tried resetting my computer, I have dismissed it multiple times. I have ensured that my recovery contacts are up to date. None of this works and it keeps appearing. Any hints on how to resolve?

I recently switched from windows to Mac. And this is driving me nuts. I always had iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches, but this is crazy. I had to force quit settings and restart my Mac and every thing that others say on the apple community website. I hope apple fixes this in the new MacOS Sequoia. It seems that losing out and logging in your iCloud on Mac can fix it for a like a day or so. I hope this gets patched.

I thought I had it fixed, but it came back again. I kept trying to delete the problematic contact with no luck. I ended up deleting the contact on my iPhone, which was successful and then I went back to my Mac and it was still there so I logged in and out of iCloud and it had disappeared. However, I tried adding the contact again, and it was stuck on "pending", so this time I had the contact themselves remove it and I re-added and now everything seems OK. Let's see if that's the end of it.
