I get frequent interruptions on my screen when a black background, with a circle appears. On the top of the circle it says “calibrate” and lower, it says “tilt the iPad in a circle”. no matter how many times I do this it doesn’t stop interrupting my screen. Is it time for a new iPad?

Are you using an iPad case that contains magnets of any kind? For example, a case with a screen cover that operates the auto-lock function? If so, this can seriously affect the calibration of the iPad fluxgate compass.
