iPhone 15 Pro Max black screen

As per the advice in this thread, do a reset using the volume up, down and holding power button til it resets and comes back on.

Same issue however I have a 14 Pro. To me this is a software bug.

Just happened to me and was completely freaked out as this is my business phone. Why hasn't there been a fix since this has been going on since 2023.

thank you so much for the fix. this happened to me while I kept my phone on charge for about 1 hour. @apple please fix this.

I have a regular 15 and it has done this several times, very disappointing

i have an iPhone 15 pro max, it has exactly the same problem! It happens twice already. The screen is black after charging in the morning. Press the buttons, no use . After few minutes, wakes up.

My 15pro max now going black screen like 4-6 times a day. any fix yet?

Just woke up and my phone is completely black yet I can hear my charging vibrating when it goes in my phone. A reset will not work. Help what do I do???

Got my 15 Pro a month ago and it just happened for the first time….laying flat, horizontal and charging with a wire

@Poppy1016 - thanks for the "quick fix". This has now happened to me 3 times. So far I've somehow managed to get the screen back, but your quick fix is great.

Any word on a software fix? Is it defective hardware that needs to be repaired?

Is there any other way to reboot my iphone 15 pro? I have a black screen and everything seems else seems to be working.

I’m having serious issues as well and I’m doing everything you guys are saying and it’s not working for me. What do I do? I can’t get to a store.
