telephoto feature

the iphone 13 pro has a feature simular to that of the 15 pro 3X zoom. how does one activate that feature to zoom on an object from a distance?

How to enable telephoto lens on iPhone camera? Hello I’ve been upgrading yearly, and since the 13 Pro, there’s been one recurring issue: the phone doesn’t switch to the telephoto lens. Even when there is adequate lighting, it simply refuses to let me use the 4x. Most of the time, I see a pin-sharp preview (using the 4x), just for it to switch to the 1x, crippling the image completely. I can sometimes combat this by using the RAW option, but then I can’t use photographic styles, and it usually doesn’t work anyway. It’s kind of like how it switches to the ultrawide for macro automatically, but there’s an option for that one. This is the one thing keeping me from using the iPhone as a professional-grade tool.
