Whenever I open the camera, the quality looks fine, but after capturing the picture, it turns out terrible. The picture has a grainy and noisy appearance even in good lighting. When I compare the iPhone 12's front camera with the iPhone 15, the better quality comes from the iPhone 12. I don't know what it is, but it seems like Apple may have compromised the front camera quality this time.

Same here …is there any solution ? I hate my pictures . My face looks grey , SMOKY , grainy ans blurry ! Apple i’m very disappointed hope you’re going to fix this asap , it’s terrible ! My 14 pro max was far better
This phone is too expensive to have too many issues. I wish I did not give up to my iPhone 12 Pro Max! Sigh
apple should take back this defective product and give us refund

Same here , my 11 pro max does better than the 15 pro max . I’m really disappointed with apple on this issue.
I have the exact same issue with my iPhone 15 Plus. I really haven't taken any pictures since getting this phone. This phone was far inferior than my Android one. It is quite disappointed to spend so much money and not have a nice camera; Apple has to fix this and update the software.
For months everyone on this site has mentioned the same issues and Apple has failed to provide any updates to resolve these issues.
Unfortunately, I’ve lost hope and believe that Apple will resolve this matter by launching iPhone 16.
I had a 13 Pro Max and it took excellent rear and selfie photos. I waited until the 15 and expected to have excellent camera quality. Unfortunately I am experiencing the same issue. Selfies are dark dingy, a weird dim filter like, grainy, noisy and lacking in color. The quality of these pictures reminds me of selfies from 10 years ago. This is extremely unacceptable for a phone well over $1500, Apple must address this.
I can't understand how there is no fix to this. Like the photos come out bad only in selfie mode. And the people taking the selfies and coming out hideous are the ones shelling out for your products. It's fully not okay, are we entitled to return the phone as faulty?
@Apple Can this issue be addressed! It’s very frustrating having to pay so much for what is supposed to be the best phone in the market only for the front camera to be so terrible! My iPhone 11pro max camera did a way better job and people have been complaining for month! Either recall these phones or create a software fix cause this it’s really bad.
Why is my iphone 15 pro max photos terrible grainy, out of focus and the color is totally off! It cannot render darker skin tones correctly in both daytime and night time as well. The contrast is horrible.
