We are managing several Macbooks with Apple-Chips in our company and have registered them on Apple Business Manager.
Even though the devices are on the status "unassigned", the devices that upgraded to Sonoma get an unskippable message to contact the remote management server eventually.
Is there something I am missing? Why does this message pop up?

How did you downgrade currently experiencing same issue
I already assigned, then unassigned the device in ABM to clear any old records.
No profile is show as well. I also made sure there were not DNS issues and tried WiFi and LAN.
I am thinking about downgrading to Ventura for now if there is solution. This clearly is a bug as it popped up after upgrading to Sonoma.
On one of the devices, what is the output put of:
sudo profiles show -type enrollment
and
sudo profiles status -type enrollment
(sanitize the specific MDM server out if returned).
It's likely that those devices were previously assigned to an MDM. It could be an old record. You may be able to clear this by selecting all those devices in ABM and choosing to unassign them again.

I just did a downgrade for now and will keep my eyes open. Should the issue arise again, then I will check.
