Why does the video player included on my new Mac no longer support looping?

After creating a video on my Mac Book, I would like to have it play continuously, "loop" for a presentation.

The video player included is a version of Apple TV currently Version 1.4.0.118, and does not have this feature. Do I need to go to a 3rd party player to support this basic feature? This was once included with Quick Time that is no longer available.

QuickTime Player 10.x has a loop function (menu View﹥Loop), but that is a temporary view option, not to be embedded as a file property.

VLC has a loop function for videos.

IINA has a loop function for videos.

Keynote has a loop function for videos.

PowerPoint has a loop function for videos.
