Anyone’s phone still too hot after iOS 17.0.3? Uncomfortably hot when charging or when running games

Just got the 15. Even after a day and having finished all transfers, phone is super hot (far more than 12; not quite let-your-phone-go hot but hot enough to have heat linger on your fingers) when charging or when playing games (not too intensive; just an idle game).

takes quite a bit to cool down too, and it feels like it’s slowing down the charging speed as well. Pretty disappointing considering it’s an older chip and shouldn’t be having these problems.

Hey Iphone1703,

It looks like you checked out the article about what to do if your iPhone gets too hot. Did you get a chance to look over this article and did you find any of the information listed on there relevant to your situation? Also, how long has it been since you updated your device to iOS 17.0.3? We ask you this because after a software update, your device might feel warmer than it normally would. After a software update, your device will continue to reindex all your apps and documents silently from the background.

If you continue to experience this issue even after you've followers the recommended steps from the article you shared, we recommend that you get in touch with Apple Support team next: Apple Support

We hope everything works out!

Best regards.
