Mail app disappearing mail when sent

Anyone else experiencing disappearing emails using Mail app?

After composing a new email and hitting send, the email disappears from the Mail app (does not appear in Sent Items, Drafts, Outbox, or any other folder) and the recipient does not receive the email. it’s just gone. It has happened many times, but not always.

I have also lost about 1/2 of my contacts. Again, just gone…

Things I’ve tried:

-I removed the email account and reinstalled.

-I restored the phone to factory settings and restored from a version prior to the update.

Any help would be great!!
