Battery draining fast using Safari with iOS 16.7.1 on iPhoneX

Since the latest iOS update this last week, my battery has been draining within 30 mins or so when using Safari. There doesn't seem to be the same issue with other Apps, but the challenge is that the browser is often opened automatically by other apps (e.g. FB). Prior to this update I often had 20+ browser windows open in Safari without an issue. I now need to close all down to not have my phone die in under an hour. Anything I can do? Is there an iOS update coming soon to resolve?
