Credit Card is Declined

I've been having a problem for the past few days. Every time I try to make a purchase, my credit card is declined. I have used this credit card for purchases for years. I spoke to my bank and there is no reason for the card to be declined. I have tried using other cards and even Pay Pal. Itunes is declining all methods of payment for my account. I sent in an inquiry using itunes support and have heard nothing. Is there a number to call to solve this?

I had the same problem starting thursday 4-11. I had to confirm my payment credentials again, although nothing has changed. Than I came in the loop of verifying my creditcard over and over again. At last I edited my account and chose 'no creditcard' so I was able to download free apps.
Today I wanted to make a new account with the use of Click and Buy instead of a creditcard and then I saw that the rules for making as password where changed. You have to use at least one Capital and one number in it. Being aware of the fact that my actual password doesn't contain either of these two, I changed it into a new one with one capital and one number in it. I added the credentials of my creditcard again. Guess...................I could save it without any problem and my account is working again. Maybe this is a solution for many of the problems in this topic.

I have been waiting for apple itunes support to answer for several days since I received their machine generated formletter response telling me they're investigating. Finally after trying everything I could think of I figured it out myself. As suspected and confirmed by Visa, this isn't a problem with the credit card or the credit card information, but an itunes store desktop application bug. First it is displaying a misleading and inaccurate message on entering valid credit card information for an available credit card with more than enough credit (your credit card has been declined). This message implies that apple sent the request to your credit card vendore which wastes your time and the credit card vendor's when you contact them to investigate.

It turns out the whole issue is caused by poorly coded integration between itunes store desktop application and apple store web application. I found an old apple knowledge base article which said that whenever you update account info on itunes store, it automatically updates apple store.

What was really happening when itunes store displayed the CC declined message was that it was trying to update apple store's information to match, but the apple store account info has different options and validaiton than the itunes store accounts info (in my case the apple store doesn't have an option for my country, Jordan). So when a validation error was encountered by itunes desktop app as it was trying to update apple store information, it just falls back to displaying credit card declined simply because the apple programmers did not bother (too lazy I guess) to take the validation error from the apple store and display it in itunes

So what I did was open apple store account management, change my email and save. Then open itunes login with the new email, then itunes will ask me to re-enter account info (not just billing info) this allowed my cc to be accepted immediately.

I have Same problem too...
last email I got from staff is 3-4 days
don’t matter which card I use ,
Visa credit card or Master credit card they all say declined in iTunes.
have anyone apple support staff ask for your information / your credit card statement???
I never see anyone ask for my credit card statement before, Only Itune did.
I buy app not a house , and I am not borrowing money or seek credit from them why they want my credit card statement.
I use this account for 9 month. and nothing wrong with my payment .
If I spend too much money on my credit card, the credit card call center would alert me.

No one is stupid enough to pay money for goods that he/she did not buy for the whole nine months

Hi

I am having the same problem, I have tried to input my credit card info - it didnt work.... I tried family members...it keeps on saying declined straight away...
This is making me sad, because I cannot download apps for my iphone.
I have tried creating a account without inserting credit card info, it still says declined.

Does anybody know of a way to downgrade to itunes 9, until they sort out this problem?

or

Has apple blocked my computer, as I have tried different ip addresses and the problem still occurs...

WHERE IS CUSTOMER SERVICE? Heeeellllloooooo Apple? Anyone home? This issue is obviously not a one of a kind thing. Just got my new touch today, can't do anything because my credit card is "declined" or "not accepted" so I tried my PayPal, then it says "credit card denied". ***? It's not even a credit card. I've tried many "fixes" others have posted and nothing. Maybe Apple or iTunes should review their own forums and figure this out. Glad I kept my receipt!

I am getting 'payment declined' errors too.

I am US citizen who moved to Hong Kong, and continued to use the US iTunes store for 2+ years with my US credit card & US address. During past few weeks, my iPhone and iMac received the 'payment declined' errors, and now I can not purchase anything: No shows, no music, no gift cards, no apps, no FREE apps!

What's worse: I'm in the middle of a Season Pass and this prevents me from changing my "country location" to Hong Kong; I have to wait until all episodes are completed. It seems I'm stuck with a *"bricked iTunes account"* for at least 1-2 months!

Have you found an answer yet to the credit card problem?
I have the same problem.
I am thinking to uninstall and then reinstall iTunes.
I am in Afghanistan (Bagram, Airfield) and I use the IO Global network from India. I changed my mailing address with my bank and now my credit card is being rejected. I changed the address back to my mailing address but iTunes is still rejecting the credit card.

Riversen or Anyone else who can help-
I am having that same problem as so many others...every credit card I've tried has been denied even though I know for a fact they are perfectly fine. I did send an email through the support link. It says average reply time is 24hrs. It's been over that already with no response.

Was there some other special link to use for support contact for this problem. It is beyong frustrating and disappointing!
Thanks much.
