iPhone 14 Pro battery draining quickly

For a battery replacement to happen within 18 months of purchase should be the responsibility of the provider since this doesn’t last half the life of previous generations. This is a QC failure and Apple is not taking responsibility. Perhaps more class actions are needed?

Same issue here. 14 pro max. Bought it mid-November 2023, so it’s less than 3 months old. Without being aware there’s a common issue with that, I was curious 2 days ago to check the batt health. I was surprised to see 98%… waaat? My wife’s 13 pro max is 88% percent and still rocking after more than 2 years. Ok, now today I was just trying to show someone this issue and when I got there… 97%!!!!!

Then I got to read this thread… I really regret not having it read before buying this piece of garbage. First and last iphone, for sure.

We buy new techs because we like and want to use the features. Make no sense to disable all basic features like always on display or auto brightness due to a poor piece of hw. I have a 14 pro and believe my all Chinese phones can easily do 2 days with battery and are more more efficient. I always believes Apple is doing this to push buy new versions. It’s years they have this battery problem.

This is the second times they’ve done this they did the same thing a couple models ago this is where consumer agents and the fcc need to get involved and fined the **** out of them and make them fix it !!!

Al of a sudden the battery started to drain like crazy … without doing anything all night it went from 75 to 40 percent !!! Health battery indicates 100 percent… only 14 months of use !!! It was like something was sent to the phone to cause this degrading ..

Just this week I can’t even charge my iPhone 14 Pro all the way to 100%, even overnight! And it does very quickly! In the last 2 days the highest I have been able to charge it is about 70%, and that lasts a few hours at most! I’ve only had it since September 2023!

Is Apple addressing this issue?

I won’t repeat what everyone else has already said here, but I, too, am having all the same problems on my 14 Pro Max, 1Tb phone. It’s only 14 months old, & already my “Maximum Capacity” has fallen to 84%!!

Before I updated to IOS 17, my battery percentage would be 45% by the end of day. Now, by noon, I’m lucky if the battery percentage is 20%. I go nowhere without a carrying a backup battery.

This is the worst iPhone experience I’ve had, and been using iPhones since 2009!

Apple needs to either fix this issue, or replace these faulty batteries.

I was saying the same thing all of a sudden my battery life is horrible. I don’t understand why this happens. So annoying they need to fix this like now I paid too much money for this phone and to keep my service for this nonsense. Super uncool

I literally just got the iPhone 14 Pro not even a week ago and the battery is at 100% on performance wise but it doesn’t even last as long as my iPhone 13 and that’s the smaller one and I have had that for two years and the performance on that battery is 90% and it literally longer than my brand new iPhone 14 and the worst part about it is is that’s just letting my iPhone 14 sit and I can be using the 13 and 14 will still die before the 13 I love the 14 but battery life is like number one on expect for me who wants a cool phone when it doesn’t even stay on long enough to do anything ya kno

All of these setting are nice, HOWEVER, when I set the iPhone 14 pro the very same way I set my iPhone SE, the iPhone SE outperforms the iPhone 14 Pro battery Significantly. Apple know they have a problem with the iPhone 14 Pro which is why they NO LONGER SELL the iPhone 14 Pro. THIS IS VERY UNFORTUNATE for Apple. However, given the expense that iPhone 14 Pro customers shelled out for a very inferior product, the least Apple could do is provide a "Special Upgrade Price to a iPhone 15Pro" as an incentive to keep Apple Loyalty high. This Special Pricing would include a Higher-than-Normal Trade-In value towards the purchase of the iPhone 15Pro. But, if Apple doesn't care about customer loyalty, then they won't do anything about this issue. It's All About Numbers at this point.

I’m glad I looked this up! I noticed the same issue with my battery health. I went from an XS Max which took 4 years to drop battery health down to 85%. My battery health degraded rather quickly in less than a year. I didn’t realize so many others have experienced this. Does anyone know if Apple is offering to replace batteries?

I have the same issue. My iPhone 14Pro was about 3 months ago still at 93% battery capacity. It dropped during January and February to 89% now at 87% (2024 March 09). The battery of my iPhone 14pro is a bit more than a year old and already worn more than my 4 yr old iPhone 11pro. can @apple please explain?
