iPhone 14 Pro battery draining quickly

Anyone else having issue with the battery health for iPhone 14 pro, especially after the latest iOS (17) update? If so, has anyone find any solutions to this?

In the past few weeks it went from 100% to 95% in the blink of an eye and I haven't changed anything in my usage or the apps I usually use. The phone is 10 months old, I feel it is just too new for the battery to be degrading like this. I always knew that Apple devices have these issues with the battery, but it just starts to be worse and worse with every device they release...

Unfortunately Apple Support has been totally useless, telling me essentially to stop using certain features (like "Always on display") or reset the phone and manually set it up. All of this while still being in warranty and paying for the extra warranty on top of this. Super disappointed in the solutions and the support received.

I have exactly the same problem. I bought my phone through a mobile operator * important to mention that I am located in Europe on the Balkan Peninsula where there are no licensed Apple repair shops and stores. The operator told me that this is normal and there was nothing they could do, although my warranty covers battery replacement . In my case, 93 percent.I am extremely disappointed with Apple. Hopefully with their new model phone things will change because otherwise I'm ready to switch brands.

I don't know why but ever since the latest update for the iPhone 14+ my battery will not stay charged longer than like 30 minutes and then it's right back to being dead and I don't even use my phone while it's on the charger but when I take it off the charger like I said, it's off the charger maybe 30 minutes and it's completely dead again like this is ridiculous. I didn't pay all this money for a phone that is gonna die. Like every 30 minutes like right now I'm out and about and my phones dying. It's at 6% and I'm nowhere around to charger and I'm not even close to my home

Yes it mine goes down like every 2nd week in think it even dropped like 2 this week and I’ve been carefull and took care of my battery sure I do use my phone a lot but still shouldnt be draining this much since my previous xr after almost 5 years had like 85% battery health and I’ve took the same amount of care for this phone if not more owned it since july and it’s aleready at 95%

Same here. I’ve noticed the battery capacity will quickly change too. From 100% to 87% within a few minutes then 67 then 10% and then it hard crashes.

start it up again and it may show 10% or even as much as 57%. I think ios 17 seems related. Really sucks. I need a reliable phone and now my favorite fruit company is making me look at a google phone😒

Same here. Also, same happened with my old phone which was the iPhone 7 that I had forever but after like 4 years not a few months! When I called about my iPhone 7 battery I was told there had been a recall and Verizon replaced batteries for free, but I was too late. That’s the best part about Verizon… They never tell you anything and then time runs out and they say “too bad, so sad”. I want to switch carriers and will do so as soon as a better one becomes available in my area.

UPDATE - I somehow fixed my problem.

1 - I installed the next update.

2 - Support did something to update my phone in the background.

3- I took my phone off of the Low Power Mode.

4 - Max capacity is at 98%

5 - Optimize Battery Charging is off - otherwise it only charges to 80%

What is happening lately (after mid December is that it charges up, and goes down to about 50% at the end of the day. Not too bad as I am using my phone about 7 hrs a day.

Hope this helps someone.

Support is aware they are having issues with this - and are able to troubleshoot from their side, too.

Meanwhile, my Siri is still not acting right. It isn't supposed to be listening and does anyway. "We" are doing "battle" whenever I try to send an email, text, or type notes because it wants to type whatever is said on TV or in the room around me. Very annoying. And CREEPY!

The Battery health of my iPhone X which is almost 7 Years old shows 79% whereas as my iPhone14 Pro which is hardly 10 Months old shows 89%. Apple Executive claim that this is normal and calculate based on some battery cycles. Whereas as user I can feel the software and hardware issue in new phones which Apple does not want to accept. Google and you will find practically everyone complaining about the same problem.

At least the battery is charging... all this week at night I have had the phone on the charger all night and have woken up to it at less than 30% (iPhone 14 Pro with all the stupid tweaks done to preserve battery life while on and off the charger). I'm lucky enough to work from home, but my phone needs to live on a charger unless I want to watch the battery lose 20% of capacity from "100%" within an hour and the phone is left idle on the desk without any interaction at all.
