iPhone 14 Pro battery draining quickly

Anyone else having issue with the battery health for iPhone 14 pro, especially after the latest iOS (17) update? If so, has anyone find any solutions to this?

In the past few weeks it went from 100% to 95% in the blink of an eye and I haven't changed anything in my usage or the apps I usually use. The phone is 10 months old, I feel it is just too new for the battery to be degrading like this. I always knew that Apple devices have these issues with the battery, but it just starts to be worse and worse with every device they release...

Unfortunately Apple Support has been totally useless, telling me essentially to stop using certain features (like "Always on display") or reset the phone and manually set it up. All of this while still being in warranty and paying for the extra warranty on top of this. Super disappointed in the solutions and the support received.

Same issue here. 14 pro max. Bought it mid-November 2023, so it’s less than 3 months old. Without being aware there’s a common issue with that, I was curious 2 days ago to check the batt health. I was surprised to see 98%… waaat? My wife’s 13 pro max is 88% percent and still rocking after more than 2 years. Ok, now today I was just trying to show someone this issue and when I got there… 97%!!!!!

Then I got to read this thread… I really regret not having it read before buying this piece of garbage. First and last iphone, for sure.

We buy new techs because we like and want to use the features. Make no sense to disable all basic features like always on display or auto brightness due to a poor piece of hw. I have a 14 pro and believe my all Chinese phones can easily do 2 days with battery and are more more efficient. I always believes Apple is doing this to push buy new versions. It’s years they have this battery problem.

I’m having the same exact issue and Apple support have told me the same. They said the battery going down 40% is normal for 1 and a half hours screen time when it isn’t normal. The phone won’t even last me the full day and it’s cost me nearly £1.7k with apple care. They won’t help me at all, they won’t replace the battery even though the battery has gone to 90% battery health in only 10 months.

Battery is draining big time. When I first got the iPhone 14 Pro, a full charge would last all day, now i'm lucky to get 1/2 a day use before needing a charge. In addition, since I also have a work phone which is a iPhone SE and works Great, very rarely do I have to use the 14 Pro for anything other than staying on, taking a photo or two, some texting and minor usage apps. Very expensive phone for the use it gets and the battery is really very poor at best.

My iPhone 14 Pro Max’s battery health was at 96% in October 2023, 94% in November 2023, 92% in December 2023. Then 90% in January 2024 and now at 88% in February 2024.

What is going on Apple when I use it the same as my older iPhone 11 Pro Max which is from years ago now?

That phone, which is still in my family, stands at 90% on its Battery Health??

Why is the 14 Pro Max’ battery so much worse than the 11 Pro Max?

I think Apple needs to do a recall for us all and swap the batteries for free. These are not inexpensive phones at the end of the day. Apple’s Flag Ship phone clearly had a defective battery.

My phone 14 pro did degrade 1 % only after 12 months of using, after I upgraded to iOS 17 in November I have 95 % now. And this is with all features turned off, turning off phone for night and using average 3-4 hr daily. Why I even have this expensive smart phone if all good features need to be turned off to preserve battery life?

I agree that it most likely new iOS fault. But funny to say my bf phone we bought same time and he even updated to iOS 17 even earlier than I am is still 100%. I don’t understand why. Seems like ppl who have problems with battery draining have defective phones, including me, ugh

Its annoying beyond words.

I’ve said on another post that I’ve been losing 2% a months since I purchased this phone with one user before me. October 84%, Nov 86%, Dec 88%, Jan 90%, Feb 87 dropped 3%!

its charged correctly, never empty and never full on a cable. No magsafe charging and no always on display. I don’t let it get hot or cold. My iPhone 11 which is significantly older is at 90% battery health.

What is going on Apple and can I get my battery swapped please? Even if we go 50:50 on the £95 cost of doing that.

Thanks Gray
