Airpods Pro fast switching in Sonoma

In Sonoma I don't see menu option "Connect to this MAC" in "settings-AirPods Pro..." I have issues with AirPods switching, they switch to Iphone fine, but they don't switch back to Mac.

Hi bongobuda,

You'll want to select the ( i ) to the right of the "Disconnect" option. From there, try deselecting the automatic switching and select again.

Turn off automatic switching
If you don't want your AirPods to switch automatically, you can turn off automatic switching on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV.

On your Mac
1. With your AirPods in your ears and connected to your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Bluetooth.
2. Click the Options button next to your AirPods in the list of devices.
3. From the Connect to This Mac menu, choose When Last Connected to This Mac.
4. To turn this feature on again, choose Automatically.

Also note:

Starting with macOS Sonoma, a notification about your AirPods displays on the screen of your Mac. Click Connect to confirm that you want your AirPods to switch to your Mac or stay with your Mac.

We hope this helps.

Take care!

Hi bongobuda,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you are running into an issue connecting your AirPods with your Mac and we're happy to help. Check out the steps below to help resolve this:

1. Update your Mac to the latest version of macOS.
2. Put both AirPods in the charging case and make sure that both AirPods are charging.
3. To make sure that Bluetooth is on, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Bluetooth.
4. If your AirPods are connected, make sure that they're selected as your audio device. If your AirPods appear in the list of devices but they don't connect, click the X to the right of your AirPods to remove them from the list.
5. Close the lid, wait 15 seconds, then open the lid.
6. Press and hold the setup button on the charging case for up to 10 seconds. The status light should flash white, which means that your AirPods are ready to connect.
7. Hold the charging case, with your AirPods inside and the lid open, next to your Mac.
8. Follow the steps on the screen of your Mac.
9. If you still can't connect, reset your AirPods or contact Apple Support.

See more about those steps here: If your AirPods or AirPods Pro won't connect - Apple Support

Thanks.

Hi Stevi, Airpods pro are connected fine to my mac, I have proper audio, my problem is auto switching, when I use Iphone my Airpods pro switch to Iphone just fine, but it doesn't switch back to MacBook. This is how it should be:

In step 3 "From the Connect to This Mac menu, choose.... " I don't have that any more since I have Sonoma.

On step 2. I don't have "Options", I just have "Disconnect".
