Orientation lock missing in control center

I have an iPad mini that’s from around 2015 or so and the iPad was locked into portrait orientation and there was no button in the control center to change this. when I looked on this forum nobody seem to figure it out but I figured out that it was because my default setting was using what is normally the silence hard button on the side was sent to be the portrait orientation so that switched it a.k.a. fixed it

If you have an iPad model with a physical side-switch, this is likely to be toggled “on”. Switch-off the side-switch and screen rotation should be fully restored.

The behaviour of the side-switch is configurable between locking scree rotation - or muting the iPad:

Settings > General > [Use Side Switch To:] - select either Lock Rotation or Mute
