Files app freezes upon opening - ipad Pro 3rd gen iPadOS 17.0.3
After the 17.0.3 update, the files app opens on my iPad Pro but immediately freezes. I cannot scroll, search, or open files. Similar behavior happens when trying to access files within other apps on my iPad as described below.
Within the Numbers app, when I try to access files, the same thing happens unless I quickly select on “files on my iPad” from the left hand panel. Then I can get to these files, but if I try to access iCloud from within the Numbers file menu, the scrolling freezes or I receive constant “something went wrong” messages. Same thing happens with Adobe Lightroom. I mention these apps in case they are using the Files app functions and this helps diagnose the problem.
In the “About” screen of Settings, I see 32 gb of available storage. However, the iPad Storage screen in settings shows 133 gb as available.
I have restarted the iPad several times in hopes of fixing this, but alas no progress.
