Why is my iPhone 15 Pro Max not vibrating on silent mode?

Today I got my new iPhone 15 pro max. Before this one I got the 13 pro max and that phone always vibrated on silent mode until a few months ago. I thought that maybe my phone was the problem and searched and watched every YouTube video I could find to try and find a solution but nothing works. Today, on my 15 pro max it still doesn’t vibrate and I tried everything.. it may sound weird, but I really hate the phone and message sounds in general.. does someone know what’s going wrong on?

just talked to Apple support via chat and this is how I fixed the problem. I hope they make it a bit more clear for the future as this has been annoying many people.

Step 1: Open Settings on your iPhone.

Step 2: Go to 'Sounds & Haptics'.

Step 3: Scroll down to the Ring/Silent Mode Switch section and enable the toggle for 'Play Haptics in Silent Mode'.

Now, your iPhone will vibrate on silent.

Hello Nicole were you able to fix the vibration problem because mine won’t work even when I press the silent button by the side it doesn’t make any vibration please is this a fault with the iPhone 13promax or is there a solution thanks

Changing the hepatic ring tone doesn’t change how the phone vibrates from side to side. The phone doesn’t vibrate in a 360 degrees pattern, it only vibrates side to side, edge to edge. There is no hepatic feedback from the flat surfaces! If the phone is sitting on a flat surface or siting in your pocket, it won’t be heard or felt!!!

Great catch! Magnets can mess up an iPhone in other ways, also. They can interfere with the image stabilizer for the camera also, and clearly can mess up the compass app and the directional feature in Maps.

I have a 15 Pro Max on the latest software. Vibration used to vibrate so vigorously I could hear the phone buzzing from 10 feet away. Now it vibrates so subtly I cannot hear it with my ear 6 inches from the phone. None of the settings mentioned in this thread make the phone vibrate any louder. My phone is on silent mode while I am in meetings throughout the day and I’m missing important calls and texts. How can I make it vibrate like it used to?

already tried all those things. I know what I need to turn on, the problem is that it doesn’t work 😂

Our 12 & 13 do not even show that option under sounds & haptics.
