I want to switch back my Apple ID to my iCloud email

So my iMessage and FaceTime have been down for over a week now. I tried troubleshooting and ended up switching my Apple ID from my iCloud email to my gmail thinking that would solve the issue. Dumb, I know? When I realized it didn’t help I tried switching it back to my iCloud email and it’s saying my iCloud email address cannot be used at this time. Does anybody know for sure how long it will take before I can switch it back? I’m hoping this is still possible

Hello Kieron41,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It looks like you're unable to change your Apple ID From third-party to iCloud email, and we'd like to help. Are you trying to change it on the settings on your iPhone or on the Apple ID website on a computer? Do you receive this error eitherway?

If the iCloud email address was previously used on the same Apple ID account, it will be available again, 30 days after the Apple ID was changed. For more information, check this out: Change your Apple ID
