Siri reroutes calls using headphones after iOS 17

Since updating to iOS 17, Siri will reroute calls from my Beats Fit Pro to iPhone audio automatically. I will simply ask Siri to call someone, the call is placed but there is no ringing and it will automatically switch from my Beats to iPhone audio as if my Beats have disconnected. I have troubleshooted my Beats and they work fine with other iPhones other than my iPhone 12. Even called back and forth eleven times between two Apple Support agents in the span of three hours to no avail. I hope I’m not the only one.

Same exact thing is happening to me since the update. I do a lot of moving around so making the voice calls through my Beats has been a time saver, and prevents me from walking around with the phone in my hands or held to my head. Now, in order to circumvent not taking my phone out I have to ask Siri to send a text message to the person I want to talk to, and tell that person to call me instead so that way I can answer through the earbud.

I hope this gets fixed soon, it worked perfectly before. I usually never update my phone to new iOS right away to prevent this from happening, so this is what I get for not waiting....
