I have Apple Music. I want to buy a song on Itunes. When I go to the Itunes store, it says "Play" and there is no way to purchase. I have not purchased it. WTF?
This is what worked. I "removed download" from Apple Music (song was never purchased). I searched for it again in Itunes and it let me buy. Very weird.

To clarify, what device are you using? If this is an iPhone or iPad, take a moment to restart it and then try accessing the iTunes Store app again.
Additionally, do you already actively have this song in your Apple Music Library? Do you see only an option to play for other songs actively in your Apple Music Library?
