Dropped it in water, completely submerged, got it out, removed case, dried as best as I could- it worked.
now 2-3 hours later I am getting a ‘liquid detection in connector’ message.
I am now- not charging, sitting vertical in air flow (air conditioning😬)
is there anything else I can do to prevent (further) damage or issues? TIA
Let the phone dry out completely for another day or two and give it a try.
Unfortunately, it is unlikely that the phone will operate correctly, but you never know.
If there are still problems, take the phone to an Apple Store or an authorized Apple Service shop so they can go over your options with you.
Your iPhone is almost certainly catastrophically damaged.
