I have iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019. I used to use Safari but downloaded Chrome because a business app was available only there at time. Now I have difficulty using Safari because Chrome takes over irregularly but often. I think it is partly because keyboard errors but also because it is some prefererred over Safari. Does anybody know better?

I changed to Chrome as the default. When I want to use Safari, it's difficult because it flips to Chrome very often.
Does that mean I cannot use Safari at all?
