How to turn off autocorrect in my iPhone

My iPhone changes spelling of words even after I have corrected. It is impossible! I want to turn off autocorrect, for starters.

Here is how to turn off auto correct:


Turn Auto-Correction on or off

  1. Open the Settings app. 
  2. Tap General > Keyboard. 
  3. Turn Auto-Correction on or off


Depending on which iPhone you have … and what iOS it has, your options may be different. These are the options I see on my iPhone 13, iOS 16.7.1.
