Advertised as "factory sealed new iPhone".
So you are aware, Apple discontinued selling the iPhone 11 Pro Max three years ago.
The fact you saw the non-Apple parts message means not only is the iPhone not brand new, but in addition it had been serviced by a non-authorized Apple Service Provider.
Get a refund if possible.
Was the price “too good to be true”? Now you know why.

Presumably this means it’s new to you, not brand new from a factory sealed box.

thanks for replying Sperman
I bought the 11 pro max from swatch on eBay. Advertised as "factory sealed new iPhone".
worked fine for a week then failed to charge and message said non-Apple parts detected. have you any idea what I should do. Swagtech said to charge it for 30min then turn on and off again. that did nothing.
bought it from SwagTech not swatch
so true!!!
Hope you can get your refund - otherwise it’s an expensive lesson.
Good luck, and enjoy your future Apple products.
