Apple tv ok button change

Do we know why Apple change the timing of short va long press of the ok button?

Before that change, it was needed to press ok button for about 3 second to move or delete an icon. Suddenly Apple change to about a sec or less. So for those who are using an universal remote with default of 3 repeats, it resulted in user not be able to start an app. Pressing ok was just started to wiggle the icon and open the move menu. One customer of mine spent 4 hours with Apple support and Apple could not find the issue.

i hope Apple to be more consistant on command code. What an useless change.

3 sec was fine to push and hold to open the move menu.

note: there is IP driver for many AV product. Except Apple TV because Apple keep reinventing the wheel for command like menu, up, down etc..

Had to update another universal remote. Customer is a senior and had to explain to not to push the ok for too long. Pressing the "ok" button for a bit longer than a sec was opening the move function of the App instead of starting app. Finally put a small delay after the universal remote IR code prevented my senior customer to open move function where wanted to start an app.

I wish Apple could go back to the 2 or 3 sec press to open the Move function
