If you read through the comments and other threads about the same problem you would have seen that even with hardware "repair", swapping of components, and even full phone replacement, did not fix the issue. This is obviously not a hardware issue, its a firmware/software issue. Because people who had purchased the 15's with the initial iOS version had no problems until updates got released (with the majority of issues seem to be coming from 17.0.3 and onwards).

Not just the 15, I have a 13, used to work great, but likely around the IOS 17 update started dropping calls, no service etc. Tried 5G off and on and auto, LTE only - no discernible difference. Works OK when using WIFI for calls at home. Have not reset all my settings on the phone, per the posts, doesn't seem like that is a sure thing and don't want the trouble or have the time.

My workaround is to shut off the iPhone and connect the call on my Apple Watch - Ultra, call then works perfect, no dropped calls, great reception all the time. Pretty bad when the only solution is shut the phone off. I'm not near an Apple Store, so have not dropped in to complain.

For the past week, my phone was at an Apple service center due to reception issues. The local authorized service center confirmed the problem, but when the device was sent to the Apple service center in Bangalore, they found no issue and returned the phone.

It seems they don't prioritize customer issues. The primary function of a phone is to make and receive calls, yet it appears iPhones aren't reliable for this purpose. Those who own iPhones may need to invest in an Android phone for internet and calls. Now I'm forced to carry two phones. Apple's network performance is disappointing.

My 13 and 14 had the same problem! With the 13, I tried almost everything and nothing worked (setting changes, hardware check, changed from SIM to eSIM, rebooted from new, we had recently upgraded WiFi, and called Verizon). And then I changed to iPhone 14. Still had the same problem, so I added T-Mobile as well to test that (2 eSIMs), but that didn’t work either (same issue with T-Mobil, and same issue while having two eSIMs).

Verizon sent me a network extender, which has been working! I now have 4 bars instead of 1 or 2 and all calls have come through, and no dropped outbound calls. Sometimes if I’ve been out, when I get home I’ll have 2 bars, but then I turn WiFi off and back on and there are 4 bars again.

My husbands phone, Android, worked fine before the Verizon network extender. So it seems to me that the issue is a software issue with iPhones.

I think Opolopos solution works. My iPhone will suddenly not connect to the internet and when I tried to refresh the network it’ll just say no network. I had to sometimes restart the phone. I believe I’ve solved this now. I did a reset to all settings first

settings >General> transfer or reset iPhone > reset> reset all settings

after this I deleted all previously installed eSIM card in my phone

Settings > cellular >sims > delete all sims not in use

now get your mobile network to install a new eSIM on your device and the problem should be solved. You do not need to continue using the new eSIM to still have network.

I believe this problem affects users that restore backups to a new device. It may be copying an old network setting from previous backup which is affecting mobile network service. It’s been 48 hours since I’ve had no network issues. I believe installing a new eSIM overwrites this. Do give it a try and let others know if this worked for you. It’s definitely working for me now.

After living w/ this "fix" for a while I can say it's not a long term solution. Perhaps when I updated, it reverted back to bad firmware (or something). My phone is back to basically being an iPod touch when I need it most in the wild. I refuse to retrovision after every update - I didn't buy a $1k phone for it to become a full time job keeping it operational. Maybe all the brains at apple went to the face thing. Rad.

Apparently there is a chance that Apple might have not calculated the fact that Titanium blocks cell phone tower signals. Since the antenna is internal. I am running into the same issues, just switched from a 14 pro to a 15 pro max. I’ve done everything suggested which should fix the problem. To no avail. Just updated to the newest IOS 17.3.1, hoping that the last software might had a glitch. If that’s not the case, I am returning my iPhone 15 pro max tomorrow since I just bought the new phone 3 days ago. Nothing but problems so far.

I would highly recommend calling your carrier to have them issue a new eSIM. But before the issue the new eSIM, go into settings > carrier > delete eSIM

they will issue a new eSIM, run the activate now under carrier once they tell you to do so. Then reboot your device and make a phone call.

you may want to reset your network settings too. When restoring from a backup from phone to phone and transfer from phone to phone it’s possible to move the “old” carrier settings that will 100% cause the iPhone 15 cell radio to incorrectly perform.

my phone has been completely fine since I did these things.

I am from India and using iphone 15 & i have the same issue.I tried all the reset and software updates. The carrier which I am using is Airtel and i am facing this issue in my office and home(both are at same area). In my house it does not work in my living room or in my bedroom but in the other bedroom it works good.If the problem is with the carrier, then my family members who are also using the same network are not facing this issue. If problem is with the phone, then the problem should be there in all locations. One more issue i am facing is,when i try to call someone the call connects after 15 secs, same when i attend an incoming call it connects only after 15secs.But when i tried another sim of a different carrier,it works fine.

First I had the issue of going SOS when I would cross state lines and the carrier could not fix it. We tried a new esim but it didn't help so I changed carriers and now the data has been throttled back horribly. I cannot get the fix from anyone and this has been going on for days. We paid a lot of money for two iPhone 15s and after all this I think our next phones will not be iPhones.
