The same happened with my iPhone 15 pro max, I contacted my service provider and they told me to reset network settings, this will resolve the problem. Every time I left my WiFi range I had to repeat the procedure. During this headache I’ve been sent 3 new sims, which has no effect, 3 days ago I had the idea that maybe I need to update the iOS in settings, updated to iOS 17. After I did this the phone works perfectly. I also had the problem of re entering my WiFi password every time I got home, that has also been fixed after the update.

bought my first iphone and so far, nothing but disappointments...i have the same issue with weak wifi and 4/5G signal. first thing i did during set-up was to upgrade to 17.2.1 but that did not help. then tried reset network settings and it boosted the signal only for few minutes. did anyone here try to bring their unit to apple store for tech support? what was their advise? were they able to fix the problem? or i was i just unlucky to get a bad unit? if so, would they replace/repair my unit? sorry, still clueless how apple handle this kind of issues.

I contacted apple in regards to my issues I was having and they said to me that they are phasing out 3G and the iPhone mainly runs on 4g 5g, where I live they don’t really have 5g which is why my signal is so terrible!

for my phone getting hit they said it’s the titanium sending the heat to the outside rather than keeping it inside to keep it away from the battery etc

my phone has been ok for a couple days but we will see I guess

I have the same issue. I brought my unit to apple service center, and they diagnosed that my unit which was just 1 week old has a hardware issue. Unfortunately I was told that they cannot replace my unit since i bought it from a telco operator. Instead, they replaced everything inside, including batteries. So, probably the only thing new on my unit now is the case and the screen. So disappointed; not going to buy apple again, complete waste of money.

And the worst part is, I barely see any improvement with the signal streght.

I am suspecting, they throtlled down the signal transmit/receive power of the device to compensate for the overheating problem which they claim is resolved in the latest sw update. So, for those who may aleeady have weak signal coverage in their area will definitely notice the drop in signal level on their device.

Furious. My dog’s very expensive tracker was lost in the countryside. My I phone 15 phone could get ZERO signal, so I couldn’t find the tracker. My other half has an I phone 14 and had little or no issues. Granted there’s not a great signal there, but I didn’t buy a new phone for it to perform worse than the previous model. All I could get was that the server stopped responding. We both have the same provider.

So what are supposed to do? If replacing hardware components doesnt work, and if exchanging phones doesnt work, what are we supposed to do?

We bought two brand new 15 Pro Max's, both have the exact same problem. When is Apple going make a public statement about this issue? Do they know whats wrong and simply not saying? Is it a iOS firmware issue? What is it.

This is an expensive problem that needs resolving. FAST!

Cool, will you be able to post an update after testing it for a day or two? Ensure thorough testing in areas where it previously experienced connection drops. This bug is causing my iPhone battery to drain quickly as it boosts signals for reception.

Please 🙏 post an update after 24 or 48 hours of testing. Thank you.

This what they said on the call. They do not know about this issue on a broader level. Only the tech senior lady suggested to mass report it so they will have more data to work on.

I can only hope that they come up with some patch or resolution. I bought this through 3rd party vendor and i can not even return it for a replacement.

Started happening on my 11 a few months ago, and is consistent in how frequently it drops signal, sometimes entirely and will even stop searching after about 30 seconds. Have to constantly toggle airplane mode or any setting that disrupts/resets the network. After some research I realized the exact same issue has been plaguing hundreds of people all the way back to 2019. Apple does not care. They’ll give you the same routine advice needed for resolving connectivity issues outside of your coverage area, which is not the case. Oh well. At least we have annual new models to buy, and have those screw up too.

I have a regular iPhone 15. Since using this iPhone, I have had to reset the network settings about 5-7 times so I can receive calls and talk to the person calling.

Symptoms are incoming calls go straight to voice mail without the phone ringing & I cannot make outgoing calls. I reset the network settings and everything works. My carrier is Consumer Cellular.

Any clues as to what is going on?
