iPhone 15 pro max darkening selfies

Anytime I take a selfie with my iPhone 15 pro max even in direct sunlight, it turns dark and ashy. It’s horrible. It makes my skin look terrible and gives me dark circles. Has anyone else had this same issue and success fixing it?? I called apple support and the engineers are aware of the issue. I have an open active case regarding it but it’s beyond frustrating.

New iPhone 15 pro max selfie camera flashes I just got a new phone, 15 pro max, and the selfie camera has not worked properly from day 1. It shows my image and then flashes black and then my image, sometimes at a different angle or zoom level, then black again. It will not allow me to take a photo. I did a software update and it worked properly for a day or two, then started doing the same thing again. I’ve installed all updates and have restarted my phone several times.
