Mac Air i5 Factory Reset

After factory resetting my Mac Air(i5 - Early 2015) I got Yosemite, where I am not shown the option to update my software any further. I was not able to login my App Store or iTunes as it prompts incorrect ID/password even though they are correct. Can someone help me out with this?

Yeah, I can most likely. On Yosemite, Apple ID's with 2 factor authentication enabled are not natively supported Fortunately, there is a way to login for you but it requires access to another apple device. If you have access to another apple device, you're going to use that device to get a verification code, then enter the verification code on the place that you would normally put your password.

To get this verification code see this instructions

From your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

If your device is online:

  1. Go to Settings > [your name].
  2. Tap Password & Security > Get Verification Code.

If your device is offline:

  1. Go to Settings > [your name].
  2. Tap Password & Security.
  3. A message states “Account Details Unavailable”. Tap Get Verification Code.

From another Mac

  1. Go to Apple menu  > System Settings (or System Preferences), then click your name (or Apple ID).
  2. Click Password & Security > Get a Verification Code.

If you've got this code, then go back to your MacBook with Yosemite. When signing in to the App Store, use your Apple ID as usual, but then, instead of your Apple ID password, place the verification code and press login. With this procedure, you should be able to login in Yosemites App Store
