Apple Watch Ultra 2 Brightness

I just received my new Ultra 2 Apple Watch and was so excited to receive it. But after having it for two days I am so disappointed because of the night dimming of the display. Glad I didn’t trade in my old watch. Monday i’m going to see if there is any way I can return the watch. Probably no way but I’m going to try.

if anyone has found a way to keep the brightness at night please let me know. Thanks!

So I have recently found a setting (possibly released in watchOS 10.4) that has helped another user. Go to the Watch app, then scroll down to accessibility. Then enable the toggle listed at “Minimum Brightness”. This should increase the minimum brightness from the standard limit it usually has. Hope this helps you out!

Hello, I too am experiencing this low light issue with my Apple Ultra 2 that I bought on Jan. 20, 2024. I am upgrading from the iWatch 3 and that watch doesn’t have this issue. I’m disappointed in this “expected behavior” and have considered returning the watch. I was so excited to get this watch, but this issue is a deal killer for me. I should not have to turn on a light in the middle of the night to view the watch. Please issue a software update to fix this….

In the meantime I have until Feb. 3rd to decide if I will return this device. So disappointed right now…..

Seems to me that if Apple created a product with an "expected behavior" that results in a subpar experience, then it should find a solution to that problem. I've also owned several apple watches over the years and this has never been an issue. I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that UPGRADING to a more expensive apple watch would provide a better user experience. It's pretty disappointing that the response is just an excuse for a poor decision on the developers end. Please fix the problem. Thank you.

No it doesn’t help. Are you an idiot? Please tell me how you see that as expected behavior? That mean ms you people expected for the face not to be seen in the dark? You expected that we’d have to turn on the lights to the face of a DIGITAL WATCH? This was the worst designed feature done by a clueless group of worker bees. You need to get a program in place to fix the issue. Instead of trying to come up with some lame excuse that actually makes no sense to anyone with half a brain….
