Shared Photo Library Not Working

My wife has a 2TB iCloud storage, created a shared library and invited me to the shared library. I have been trying to move the photos on my phone to the shared library but it appears that none of my photos has been moved. It says it is moving the photos to the shared library at the bottom in the photos app but shows no progress bar. I have been watching the status for hours and apparently nothing has changed/no progress made. It also tells me at the bottom that my own iCloud storage is full but it is to my understanding that my own iCloud storage has nothing to do with the shared library/storage since I'm not the host. Anybody has similar issue?

Hi Nuts8888,

If your iCloud storage is full, that could play an indirect role in several related functions. Per Manage your iCloud storage:

"If you run out of iCloud storage, your device won’t back up to iCloud, new photos and videos won't upload to iCloud Photos, and iCloud Drive and other iCloud apps won't stay up to date across your devices. And you also won't be able to send or receive emails with your iCloud email address."

You can use the suggestions from that article to free up some storage to determine if that is the limiting factor for this transfer, as your content will be relocated from your library to the Shared Library during the process.

You can also attempt to add content via one of the other options described in Add content to an iCloud Shared Photo Library in Photos on iPhone.
