Most of the photos are missing from "Shared Library" in Photos app

We've been able to see some of our photos we've each shared but most, for each of us are missing. Neither she nor I are trying to limit the amount of phots being shared. Please help!

If so why is it also harder to see each others pictures shortly after they've been taken.

On iOS 18 the iPhone is frequently pausing the upload to iCloud while it is on battery power. To upload your new photos and videos quickly you have to force the upload, if you cannot connect the iPhone to a charger. Tap the icon of of your iCloud account in the upper right corner of the display to see if the iCloud upload has been paused and start the upload.

To share photos and videos straight from the camera: How to use iCloud Shared Photo Library - Apple Support (SG) (the second paragraph "Use Shared Library" explains how to share from the camera)

The difference in numbers might be caused by items, that are not shared automatically, for example screenshots or photos shared with you in messages.

What addition options did you specify when the Shared Library was created and when the second user joined it?

If you scroll to the bottom of the All Photos view and switch between Shared Library and Personal Library in the selector at the upper right, how do the numbers compare?

Do you see many entries in the "For Your Shared Library" section of the Sharing section of your left sidebar?

However, there are only 817 photos and 47 videos in my account?!?

If "in my account" means in your Private Library, then those numbers agree.

20,697 shared photos + 817 private photos = 21,514 total photos visible to you in both libraries. Similarly, 481 shared + 47 private videos = 528 videos in both libraries.

The items in your Private Library are the items not shared automatically (like screenshots) or those you manually moved back.

I'm very confused. Not sure how to check the options specified for the Shared Library? When we started using Apple Photos it was called something else and we shared an apple account. Then they explained it would be better for us to have our own individual photos accounts. Then something weird occurred.

Did my wife's newer apple account receive all the photos and videos we had before we signed up to our individual accounts? If so why is it also harder to see each others pictures shortly after they've been taken.
