My iPhone 11 has a typical type writer keyboard my iPad has letters in different places. It is confusing. Why? I have tried 4 different us English keyboards and they aren’t much different The z is where the w should be the m is not next to the n etc.
please help.

That means you have "azerty" (the French system) selected for one your keyboards. Tap on English in your keyboard settings and make sure that "qwerty" is the option chosen.
