my apple car play stopped working with the usb cable last thursday, but still works on bluetooth, can you help me with this please

i connect my IPhone 15 pro with a usb cable into the usb port of my car like ive done for the past 8 months but now does not connect to CarPlay

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 17

Hi keith23boy,

See if you can isolate this to the device or to the cable. To do this, test using the cable outside of the car by connecting it to an adapter to the wall.

If the iPhone does charge when connected to the cable, troubleshoot CarPlay by following If you need help with CarPlay.

If the iPhone does not charge when connected to the cable, troubleshoot the cable by following If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge - Apple Support

If it continues to not work, please provide your results.
