Apple Car Play Wired type does not work with IPhone 16 with USB-C type cord

Apple Car Play Wired type does not work with IPhone 16 with USB-C type cord supplied by Apple alongwith the phone. in my Kia Seltos GTX Plus Car model of 2023. Before upgrading to new iPhone 16 recently I was able to use Apple CarPlay with iPhone 7 in the same care via USB - Lightning Cord supplied along with iPhone 7

Check what USB adapter-style receptacle you have in your 2023 Kia from this image:



The cable that Apple provided with the iPhone 16 is a USB-C to USB-C cable. You will need a USB-C to USB-A adapter to connect it to the Kia if the USB receptacle is USB Type A.


I use XAOSUN adapters for USB-type cable transition. This is what you would use to adapt your USB-C cable to plug into a USB-A type receptacle if this is what Kia expects for cabled CarPlay.
