You have/keep your WiFi on correct? Probably an obvious/unnecessary question, but hey why not eliminate that at least as a possible issue… if your Wi-Fi is off, or if it’s dedicated to another device at the time, then you can’t wirelessly connect to CarPlay, I found this out when I was trying to use my iPhone 16 for CarPlay and to provide a hotspot for another phone simultaneously…would not allow me to do both, I had to pick one or the other…another possibility is that CarPlay is dedicated to another phone wirelessly such as one of your children or your spouse’s phone or its dedicated to anther potable device you have with you at the time such as your watch or maybe headphones…you need to disconnect that item or alternative phone before your car will connect with your particular phone? My father told me for weeks that his CarPlay wouldn’t connect and that there was nothing else connected to his phone that was dominating the connection, and then when I took a look at it, his hearing aids had a priority connection to his phone and needed to be manually disconnected before the CarPlay would connect automatically
