Preowned iStore South Africa Complaint

I purchased a Macbook Pro on the official registered preowned iStore 2 months ago for R20 000.


When I received it the laptop didnt want to charge, at all. And would only work if it was connected with the cable.


I notified preowned immediately and they arranged to have the product picked up. They then continued to quote me another R23000 to have it fixed, it was under warranty so the quote came as quite a shock.


Anyways, the quote was eventually rejected by preowned and they sent me an email link to more expensive laptops as replacement or offer a refund. Now this backwards and forwards have been going on for a month. In this time I have not been able to conduct my work properly and have lost precious time and effort. I have been waiting a long time for my refund so I can buy something that actually works but they have not considered my million emails as priority.


This has been the absolute worst customer service experience and being a first time Mac owner, would never consider buying an Apple product ever again. I’m bringing this to your attention as the online store here in SA is giving Apple in general a terrible name. I will probably only receive my refund next week which is making my life significantly worse. Time is money and I do not have a lot of either going around.
