Hello everyone,
I just updated my Apple Watch to watchOS 10.1. The heart rate complication is now invisible. I can tap where it used to be and it does open the Heart Rate app. So, it's there but just invisible.
I tested other watch faces to confirm the issue and all the faces I tried also do not display the complication any longer.
A forced restart did not fix the issue.
Any suggestions?
I lost visibility to ECG and Blood Oxygen; the Heart Rate is still visible. All 3 functions are working if you touch those 2 spots, the icons just don’t show up on the watch face. I’m updating my Watch software to 10.1.1 right now, I hope Apple has fixed this issue in this update.

Same here. The update fixed the issue. The compilation is no longer invisible!
You may already know this, but if you tap on the BPM area you can then see current reading (plus lots of other data if you then scroll thru pages.
The patent issue is with the blood oxygen sensor, not the heart rate sensor. You can update without any worry.
I have updated my Apple Watch series 9 to 10.2 and the Heart Rate complication is still not showing data on watch face icon. Works just fine if you open the app.
There's doesn't seem to be an issue with displaying it when it's the wide text format like that. The issue is when it's in the smaller circular format on the face. In that instance, it only displays the heart icon, as people are stating.

This did it for me, as well. So sad that it's necessary, but it worked.
