Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter - 2TB Samsung T7 Shield - 512GB iPhone 14 Pro Max - iOS 17.1

Hi :)

Hope all's well. Just bought a 512GB iPhone 14 Pro Max and a Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter to connect a 2TB Samsung T7 Shield SSD. It worked when I tried it a few days ago, but when I tried it tonight it doesn't show up now in the files section on my phone. Wondering if it has anything to do with the iOS 17.1 update I installed earlier in the evening. Any other suggestions on how to get it to work again and why it maybe stopped? Had it hooked up to a 20000 mAh power bank and even a 20W charger. The Lightning to SD Card Reader works, but transferring files or videos that way is really slow. Thanks.

I just used Disk Utility on my Mac to erase and reformat the Samsung T7 and when I plugged it in again via the adapter it worked. But I obviously can't do that each time as it would erase everything on the drive. And when I disconnected the drive and reconnected it wasn't showing again. But when I connected it to my Mac and then back to the adapter now it is showing again. And the blue light on the drive goes on and off when it's not working. When it's working the blue light stays on at first at least. I'll just monitor it I guess and see how it goes. Thanks.

One more point is I heard that iOS 16.5 killed this connection from the Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter and iOS 16.6 restored it. Guess we'll see if other users are experiencing this too. If anyone using iOS 17.1 isn't having this problem it obviously is something else and I'd appreciate finding out whoever isn't having this problem. Thanks.
