Files disappeared from Pages
I had 2 folders, one with 9 pdf files the other with 4. These files were annotated, when finished I just tapped Done and went on to open next file. The folders remain but they are empty.

Pages can not open or annotate PDF documents.
If this is on the Mac, then use your Time Machine backup to restore those missing PDFs. If you were on an iPhone or iPad, and these folders were on iCloud Drive, then sign into iCloud and from its Settings panel, you can restore deleted content within 30 days of its removal.
