iCloud calendar / reduce file size

Hi, I shared my iCloud calendar with the intention to import it into a Google calendar.

It turns out the filesize is ~5MB. It contains entries since 2017.

This probably causes any integration (Home Assistant or Google) to import the ical file.

Now I would like to remove all events before 2023. Is there a way to do this?

Longevity of iCloud calendars Is there any limit to the number of entries that can be made in Calendar (including some with attachments) or a limit to the length of time they will be stored on iCloud? I want to use Calendar to make around 15 entries each day, in various calendars, occasionally with attachments, as a kind of diary record, and for them to be readily available forever. Is this possible or a suitable use for calendar? (Obviously I back up locally too but this is not my question)

how to delete all locally saved calendar events from iphone My icloud calendar events were not synching properly, so in an effort to fix the problem, I signed out of icloud, saving a copy of all events locally on my iphone as I did so. I signed back in to icloud and all my events synched nicely. Now I'm stuck with two entries for each and every event on my phone going back as long as I've used icalendar. Is there a simple way to mass delete all locally saved events? Then I will only have the one version from icloud. Any useful suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
