Hash mismatch detected on

macOS should be reinstalled on
this volume.
I have gotten this message a couple of times. The most recent time I was on the web creating a listing on eBay.
I am not sure how I go about re-installing the OS on my iMac?

Thanks. I just ran Apple Diagnostics as you suggested in one of the threads you linked. It reported "No issues found". Not sure if that tells us anything?
Is is better if I allow the Contributor, @HWTech who made that suggestion, to answer your question.
It doesn’t matter to me who answers what. Sounds like the issue may ultimately be a RAM issue rather than a software compatibility issue?
