Hash mismatch detected on

volume disk1s5.

macOS should be reinstalled on

this volume.


I have gotten this message a couple of times. The most recent time I was on the web creating a listing on eBay.


I am not sure how I go about re-installing the OS on my iMac?

First, ensure you have a complete and current backup of your data:

(No backups means the data has no value.)
