You will find that PDFs exported from Pages can readily be opened in Apple's Preview on macOS Sonoma 14.1 and the current Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for macOS. No Adobe 6.0 anything will run on Sonoma.
There is no iOS 14.1. There is a macOS Sonoma 14.1. As far as Adobe Reader 6.0, it's 20 years old so not much of a surprise.
Preview in 14.1 opens pdf's OK. But not Adobe 6.0 (which had been happy with Ventura pdf's).
Neither does a different PC with Windows 10 Home 22H2 2/1/2021 (also was happy with Ventura).
Underlying problem has to do with getting to a printer by using a memory stick to get to the two PC's with printers.
A bad HP printer driver started this journey. Attempted printing to an HP C4280 yields "Photosmart.driver is damaged"
My son says: get a new printer.
If you install the HP Smart for Desktop app from the Mac App Store and if it does not get current workable drivers for your Photosmart C4280 that enable it to print, then listen to your son about a new printer. Get one that is either listed in Apple's AirPrint which would give you vendor driver independence, or the new printer indicates that it is Apple AirPrint compatible in its product information.
