Apple Maps - visible scale

How do you get the distance scale to stay visible in Apple Maps (either iPhone/iPad to iMac versions)?

Hi StephepX5,

Currently, there is no way to have the distance scale visible at all times. But when zooming in or out, it will show.

Please make sure you've set your Apple Maps view to 2D as the scale with NOT show in 3D.

To show the distance scale in Apple Maps on a Mac, you can:

  1. Choose View
  2. Choose Show Scale

You can also show the scale as you zoom by choosing View > Show Scale

To change the distance units in Apple Maps on an iPhone, you can:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Go to General > Language & Region > Measurement System
  3. Set the measurement system to Metric

This change will be system-wide across your device.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Many thanks!
