How to fix "Failed to Authenticate with Yahoo" error on iMac 2013

I'm trying to add Yahoo email on my iMac 2013. but I had this message:

Failed to authenticate with Yahoo!, please try again later.


please advise?

Try creating an app password: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN15241.html. Then, on your device, delete the email account, add the email account (choosing the type “Other”, not “Yahoo”) using the app password.
