It would appear so. Apple includes simple ways to create name & a photo, share my location (with unidentified contact). If spammer sends message to more than 3 people, I see option "to leave conversation". Hope that is a form of blocking, but if spam is solely to you. can't find easy way to block and/or delete

No, there is no way to blanket block spam. You'll be able to report it as you delete. If you have issues, contact your carrier

Thanks, but I'm trying to block spam in general, not limited tests to contacts. I want to block sender from repeating spam and delete text from my inbox. any way to do that?
