About Battery Degrading:

Keeping an 80% charge, the battery would be at more stress. Batteries degrade as they are used, eventually depleting (which you should avoid). There is no way to know how nor when this occurs. Apple recommends that you get a new battery when the Battery Health reaches 80%. So, all is fine, until the Battery Health reaches 80% or lower. Yes. That would be acceptable. But, note that it may lead to a quicker decreasing iPhone Battery Health.
