Office 365 on MAC
Should I install Office 365 on my Macbook Pro Sonoma 14.1. Or, can numbers and pages replace it.

If you have been using Office apps, changing may not be a workable option.
When I got a new Mac in 2018, my plan was to wean myself off Office and use Pages and/or LibreOffice. New files were no issue, but both apps changed the formatting (mainly but not limited to margins) enough to require manual fixing of each document.
This would not be an issue had I but 30 Word or Excel files, but I have thousands. I found no way to batch-reformat, so bought a new license for Office. If you have lived in the "Office-verse" for a long time, leaving it can be rather daunting.
Pages & Numbers are very capable apps. Give them a try. If you are used to Office, Pages & Numbers may take some getting used to but as for functionality they are on a par.
Pages & Numbers can also save to Word & Excel formats; and they can open/convert from Word & Excel.
I’ve been using Apple Numbers, Pages, and Keynote for aeons, as well as some other related apps, and haven’t needed the Microsoft Office apps.
Whether those apps will work for your needs, or if you want or need features of (what is apparently now called) Microsoft 365 is your decision.
Other options include LibreOffice.
Getting something working on macOS as far back as macOS 10.13 shown in the footer will be more effort, as neither Microsoft nor Apple provide new subscriptions and downloads for macOS that far back. But your text indicates this Mac is running macOS 14, and that will be easier.

365 is a Subscription:
Office 365 is ideal for those who have multiple computers. Elsewise, you are playing up to have a grand for 3 licenses of Home & Business. I'd just install the one device version. But, as a downside, note that Microsoft (as does Apple), typically provided support for their software for software releases.
