iphone 15 pro battery drain IOS17.1

i just bought an iPhone 15 pro and I’m experiencing faster than normal battery drainage. I thought the iOS 17.1 update was meant to fix it but it didn’t. My battery is worse than the 11 pro max. As I’m writing this post my battery went down 2 percent (in 4 minutes)

You can't compare an iPhone 11 Pro to an iPhone 15 Pro. Even a 15 Pro at its worst will be better than an 11 Pro at its best. If you came from a 14 Pro, even a 13 Pro, you'd experience the same, and you would understand.

Yes, I can compare my experience with one phone and another phone. You may not find it useful but it remains my experience.

When it comes to something technical and you're comparing, it should be apples-to-apples, not apples-to-bananas. The iPhone 11 Pro is over four years old.

You apparently missed the point of my post. I'll try to explain it so that you can understand. I was comparing my experiences and how I felt about the new phone. I was not making a technical comparison between a band new phone and phone with a seven month old battery. Though, I don't believe that comparison would be as in-apt as you seem to think.

If none of that makes sense to you, I won't mind in the least if you just give up and stop attempting to make me post the way you want.

I have wrote the whole time that you have to a reset all settings

And suddenly this has helped

I know have no issue with the phone battery on my iPhone 15 Pro

just to reset all settings wait five days turn off time on screen

And you have to turn some services on location settings because this was the maintain that caused the battery drain

Share location

HomeKit

suggest and search

Manage device

please turn this location services off

Wait five days and you will see a noticeable change on the battery

I am having the same issue, I went from an 11pro to a 15pro and my usual Sunday (teaching three hours of class to music) and walking a couple miles with an audiobook and my 11pro would be around 72-80% when I got home. Today the same exact routine with less walking so less time, first time on my iPhone 15pro had the battery at 60% when I got home. It should have been more than my 11pro just because it started raining and I didn’t complete my usual walk and took a car. I expected great battery time when switching from an 11pro to a 15pro and this is very disconcerting.

Dear Apple Customer Support Team,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding the quality of the iPhone 15 Pro. As a loyal Apple user, I have always appreciated the superior quality and innovation that Apple products have offered. However, upon closer examination, it has become apparent that the iPhone 15 Pro falls short in comparison to its predecessor, the 11 Pro.

Upon disassembling the iPhone 15 Pro, it became evident that several key features present in the 11 Pro were missing. This has led me to question the decision-making behind the iPhone 15 Pro's development. It almost feels as though the company believes that its customers are gullible and will not notice the omission of these important components.

Furthermore, I find it comical that Apple has justified the reduced weight of the iPhone 15 Pro by claiming the use of titanium. This explanation seems rather far-fetched and lacking in transparency. Instead of providing substantial improvements in quality, it appears that Apple is merely trying to cut costs without taking into consideration the impact on customer satisfaction.

As an avid supporter of Apple products, I feel disheartened by the direction in which the company seems to be heading. It seems that Apple may have reached the pinnacle of their phone revolution, and subsequent models fail to offer the same level of quality and innovation that once set them apart from their competitors.

I understand that technological advancements come at a price, but it is disconcerting to see the substantial price increase of the iPhone 15 Pro without a corresponding enhancement in quality. Apple, a company known for its commitment to excellence, should not compromise on the standards that have made it a leader in the industry.

I sincerely hope that Apple takes customer feedback into consideration and works towards restoring the faith we have in their products. I have been a loyal Apple customer for many years and wish to continue supporting the brand. However, I believe it is crucial for Apple to address these concerns and regain the trust of its loyal customer base.

Thank you for taking the time to read my email. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Using: iPhone 15 Pro Max

I was dealing with the same situation. My battery was dying SO fast. I went to Settings>General>Background App Refresh and toggled it to off and now my battery has not only lasted all day but I’m only at 79%. And I use my phone pretty heavily. I also just got it a couple days ago; so with getting it all set up and all I was using it more than normal, but still.. it shouldn’t have been dying so quickly. Thank the stars it’s under control now. It made 110% difference.

Issue is Apple software update.

I saw this issue battery drain with no all refresh with 15pro out the box.

then update came out. Issue gone.

then fine for many weeks.

then recent (week or so) 17.1.2 patches phone and battery issue back again.

drains from full to 20% over night with barely any use.

im going to find out how to roll back patch to 17.1.1

My day 1 released Pro 15 was battery whacked then Apple released an update not long after lunch and magically the battery was fine. 17.1.1 was operating perfectly fine no battery drain. It lasted amazingly long. Much better than my previous 13 pro. 17.1.2 patch and the battery is back to problems again. I have all background everything off. I am in low power mode. Last night it drained in low power mode from 70% to 30% off charge This is an apple issue. It is not an issue they need to fix it. 17.1.1 was perfectly fine. I can’t believe the size of Apple does these things. Amazing amazing. Samsung? Who am I kidding I can’t leave Apple.

I found a solution for iphone 15 battery drain out issue.

I noticed “hotspot” was turned on and also “Call on other devices” post update.

I turned off hotspot by going to settings —— hotspot and switch toggle to off

2. settings ——— cellular——— turn off call on other devices.

in addition make sure your bluetooth is off when not in use. Make sure to turn off through settings and not just from control panel. Settings —— Bluetooth—— turn toggle to off.

this has immensely helped me with iphone battery drain issue and my iphone 15 Pro Max is holding the charge all day despite me playing games and spending lots of time on social media. Hope this helps
