iphone 15 pro battery drain IOS17.1

i just bought an iPhone 15 pro and I’m experiencing faster than normal battery drainage. I thought the iOS 17.1 update was meant to fix it but it didn’t. My battery is worse than the 11 pro max. As I’m writing this post my battery went down 2 percent (in 4 minutes)

Using: iPhone 15 Pro Max

I was dealing with the same situation. My battery was dying SO fast. I went to Settings>General>Background App Refresh and toggled it to off and now my battery has not only lasted all day but I’m only at 79%. And I use my phone pretty heavily. I also just got it a couple days ago; so with getting it all set up and all I was using it more than normal, but still.. it shouldn’t have been dying so quickly. Thank the stars it’s under control now. It made 110% difference.

To be honest when I first bought the 15 pro max the battery life was fine. It would barely budge through out the day. When I updated it to 17.1 that’s when I noticed the battery is draining very rapidly. I’ll fully charge my phone to full, turn off all back ground apps and close everything before bed, and I’ll wake up to about 61% power. My 13 pro max’s battery life was way better than this.

I am having the same issue, I went from an 11pro to a 15pro and my usual Sunday (teaching three hours of class to music) and walking a couple miles with an audiobook and my 11pro would be around 72-80% when I got home. Today the same exact routine with less walking so less time, first time on my iPhone 15pro had the battery at 60% when I got home. It should have been more than my 11pro just because it started raining and I didn’t complete my usual walk and took a car. I expected great battery time when switching from an 11pro to a 15pro and this is very disconcerting.

I just did my second feedback on this issue. The first was an iPhone 15 yellow that I purchased about two weeks ago that had severe battery drain issues and I had to return it because that was the only solution that Tech Support could offer on my ticket. I purchased an iPhone 15 Pro yesterday, in hopes that it would perform better, I made sure to ask the associates at the store to make sure my phone has been manufactured recently. They told me my 15 pro had been manufactured December 29, 2023. So I thought perhaps I’d get a phone without the issue, but this phone has the same battery Draine issue as my iPhone 15. I have turned off everything and turned off background refresh, and turned off screen always on, etc. etc. all the things we’ve discussed in this group and nothing has helped. I just now tried to “reset all settings” as someone else on this forum suggested that might help, and I will let you know if that helps. I put in my second feedback about this iPhone 15 Pro. I have right now. This is crazy.

It does on my phone. I was to using se2020 it was taking about %30-35 at the night because of Find My app. Now I’m using 15 Pro Max. The app still does work at the night ant it takes %8 battery at the night. I don’t know if it is a bug and I have still this trouble beacuse I set my phone using Icloud backup but I don’t know how can i fix it. Anyone fix it and know the solution please help! And my battery drains so fast. The battery gives same performance as se2020…

Subject: Urgent Battery Drain Issue on iPhone 15 Pro

Dear Apple Team,

I am writing to express my severe dissatisfaction with the recurring battery drain problem on the iPhone 15 Pro.

A couple of years back, I faced a similar issue with the iPhone 13 Pro. However, a simple reset of all settings rectified the problem and made the functioning pretty smooth.

Fast forward to now, the same problem has arisen with the iPhone 15 Pro, but this time, the tried and tested method seems futile.

I am disgusted to report that this isn’t an isolated problem. An increasing number of iPhone 15 Pro users have reported identical issues, each one adding to our collective frustration. Our wallets suffer while our materials get destroyed.

We are collectively gathering evidence of these malfunctions. If necessary, we will forward this information along to force recognition of our grievances, since our high-end, expensive phones are conflicting with their inherent promises of longevity and reliability.

If Apple chooses to remain nonchalant about this serious issue, rest assured, we have other means to register our protest.

Awaiting your swift and favorable response,

You can't compare an iPhone 11 Pro to an iPhone 15 Pro. Even a 15 Pro at its worst will be better than an 11 Pro at its best. If you came from a 14 Pro, even a 13 Pro, you'd experience the same, and you would understand.

Yes, I can compare my experience with one phone and another phone. You may not find it useful but it remains my experience.

When it comes to something technical and you're comparing, it should be apples-to-apples, not apples-to-bananas. The iPhone 11 Pro is over four years old.

You apparently missed the point of my post. I'll try to explain it so that you can understand. I was comparing my experiences and how I felt about the new phone. I was not making a technical comparison between a band new phone and phone with a seven month old battery. Though, I don't believe that comparison would be as in-apt as you seem to think.

If none of that makes sense to you, I won't mind in the least if you just give up and stop attempting to make me post the way you want.
